About the author
Terri McColl, LCPC, NBCC

Terri McColl is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, professional school counselor, author, and speaker. For nearly two decades, she has walked alongside children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate some of life's most difficult experiences.
She is the founder of Renewed Minds Therapy Services, a counseling practice in Maryland. Her work centers on childhood trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, addiction, grief, and the slow, meaningful work of rebuilding trust. Alongside her practice, she serves as an elementary school counselor, supporting young students as they learn to understand their emotions and find their footing.
Terri is also the creator of Self Care is Love, which promotes intentional emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness through creative experiences and workshops. Through The Self Care Sanctuary Foundation, she works to expand access to mental health education, wellness, and community resources.
Her faith is woven through all of it. In Post-Traumatic Trust: Healing the Wounds of Trauma Through Faith, Truth, and Trust, Terri brings together neuroscience, clinical insight, and Christian faith to help readers understand how trauma shapes the way we trust — ourselves, others, and God. The book invites readers to approach trust again not with fear or naivety, but with wisdom and discernment.
If you have ever wondered why trust feels so complicated, this book offers a thoughtful, compassionate place to begin.
